Located just a short drive from the town itself, the Holt Country Park offers a beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The park has had a chequered history, including a horse racing course, heath, farmland, forestry, and woodland garden. It has now been developed into a tranquil woodland dominated with Scots Pine and native broad leaves. Its rich ground flora supports an abundant display of wildlife including Gold crests, Greater Spotted Woodpeckers, Emperor Dragonflies and Deer.
The park also has a observation tower from which the entire site can be seen it’s true splendor. The welcome centre regularly runs a number of exciting activities for the little ones including mini safaris and treasure hunts.
Not just you’re average country park, Holt Country Park offers a beautiful landscape for the family to explore and learn together.
