Welney is a picturesque village and civil parish located in the Fens of England and hosts the Welney Wetland Centre. It’s the perfect attraction for outdoor adventures and there is bound to be something for everyone.
The entire experience is enhanced by the comforts found in the visitor centre, which includes a cafe with breathtaking views of the Fen landscape. While sipping your coffee, see if you can spot any of the famous wildlife that runs within the wetlands boundaries. Can you spot any hares or walter voles?
For those with an outdoors spirit we suggest a walk along the footbridge, which brings you to the first and largest of the hides. This hide is centrally heated, so you can watch the beautiful swans without getting chilly. In the summer months watch house martins and swallows raise their young in front of you.
If you choose to venture further into the reserve, you will stumble upon four further hides from which you can watch other animals.
The Welney Wetlands offers you everything that need for an memorable day out.
