Every September thousands of volunteers put on events up and down the country to showcase all of the heritage sites in their area.
Now entering its third year of celebration, Wymondham is no exception and on the 9th September will celebrate it’s very own Wymondham Heritage Day, and best bit of all?
It’s right on the doorstep of No.10 The Abbey and starting off at the infamous Market Cross.

Classic Cars

There will be a number of vehicles from throughout the ages present on Wymondham Heritage Day 2018. From classic cars and old bus rides we think everyone will marvel at these amazing vehicles! You can also arrive in style and in true fashion by using the Mid Norfolk Railway and runs from Dereham straight to Wymondham.

Live Music

Along with classic cars there will be a number of live performances on Wymondham Heritage Day 2018 and some fabulous vintage stalls too. You may even pick yourself up a hidden treasure. If you haven’t dressed up for the occasion then now is your time!
Many of the attendees will be dressing up in clothes from their favourite era on the day.

Suffragettes

This year there will be something slightly different on Wymondham Heritage Day 2018 with the suffragettes making an appearance marching through the town, as well as taking part in a tug of war!

Cake Off

Fancy yourself a budding baker? Then why not take part in the Wymondham Heritage Day 2018 Cake Off! If you didn’t want to spread hours in the kitchen head to the 1950’s diner at the Baptist Church for a sweet treat instead!

It is bound to be fun for all the family, and a great way to showcase the town’s diverse history.
